Description
A short flexible cannula which can be straight or curved, with a luer hub at one end. Hub may be coloured.

Method of use
Lacrimal cannula is used for the irrigation and probing of the lacrimal duct. The punctum and canaliculus may require dilation prior to procedure. The hub of the lacrimal cannula is attached to a disposable syringe, the plunger removed and the syringe filled with saline. Once air has been removed from the syringe, the cannula is inserted into the vertical canaliculus, the plunger pressed down slowly and the lacrimal duct irrigated.
