Key areas where used
- Critical care
- Theatre
Method of use
Connects patient arterial cannula to the manometer via a 3-way stopcock for central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring. It can also be used to extend a limb of the manometer line or as an extension set for an invasive arterial line. Manometer tubing is much stiffer than other extension tubing to allow longer connections to be made with little or no dampening effect on the reading. They are also sometimes used in wards as extensions of delivery sets used with syringe drivers.
